On May 6, 2005, tragedy struck the Grinder family.
Bassist and songwriter Jim Anders
Passed away suddenly and unexpectedly
Of an apparent heart attack.

Jim was a primary creative force behind Grinder, through
His songwriting genius, evidenced on his bands' original tunes,
As well as his talent for performing on stage.

He was a true artist.
He suffered from asthma but endured playing in smokey bars
Because he needed to share his music with people who would listen.

The world will be a much emptier place without him.

Jim is survived by his wife and young son.
They, along with his other family and friends,
Are in our thoughts and prayers.
